I was constantly amazed at the beauty of Kenyan people. I asked my friend Cliffe "Where do you put all the ugly Kenyans?" and he laughed very hard. What is more amazing is the neatness and cleanliness of people under conditions of extreme duress in Mukuru and the other slums. On the hottest day I never once detected b.o. and concluded that they must spend half their time bathing and laundering their clothes.
