One of the most moving experiences of my life:  The children--even the smallest--were given candles and participated in a procession around the grounds of Nyumbani, following Father D'Agostino with the newly lit Easter candle.  We proceeded into the makeshift chapel and prayed a mass celebrating Christ 's triumph over death:  piercingly important to these children.  There is no protecting them from the presence of death in their lives every day.
