The comment was, "Could supporting fair trade Kenyan goods truly challenge global economic inequalities, or does it merely perpetuate a form of economic charity that avoids real systemic change?"
Our work is far from "economic charity. " We purchase goods at a fair price. This enables mothers to support their families & promotes community development in areas where employment is almost impossible & is highly exploitive.
We are not out to "truly challenge global economic inequalities", nor do we hope to make " real systemic change."
We have, however, led to a better quality of life for thousands of people in 3 countries.

“Project Harambee enables us to support and educate our children. They give us ideas to improve our work. Money from craft sales supports orphans and vulnerable children and many mothers in prison. Long live Project Harambee!”
