This page explains how Project Harambee helps disenfranchised HIV+ women form sustainable work and social groups. We want to:
create a successful work environment
foster friendships so that women & children--deserted by their families--are cared for when illlness or death occur.
NEW IN 2006 & 2007: VOLUNTEERS ON OUR 2006 SERVICE TRIP QUICKLY SAW THE NEED FOR COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND ITS CRUCIAL ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT & HEALTH CONCERNS. THEY MOVED QUICKLY TO IDENTIFY SPECIFIC NEEDS AND TARGET RESOURCES FOR HELP. IN 2007 VOLUNTEERS ARE RETURNING TO:
